Brigadier General Iqbal Ahmed Appointed as New Commissioner of BTRC
The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has welcomed a new member to its five-member board with the appointment of Brigadier General Iqbal Ahmed as Commissioner. He will serve a three-year term in the engineering category of the commission. Prior to this role, Brigadier General Ahmed was the Controller of Examinations at Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP).
The appointment was confirmed through a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Tuesday.
Brigadier General Ahmed joins the BTRC board led by Chairman Emdad Ul Bari. Other members of the commission include Mahmud Hossain, who was appointed on September 19, Vice Chairman Md. Aminul Haque, and Dr. Mushfiq Mannan Chowdhury, Commissioner of Finance, Accounts, and Revenue.
